In order to build and foster a strong community while maximizing parent participation potential, BRIDGES Charter School     will be a community-based collaboration that connects with the real world around us.

-    It will include a focus on health and sustainability by supporting healthy eating habits, cultivating a school garden, and          teaching/modeling environmental stewardship
-    It will encourage and rely on parent participation, utilizing parental strengths, talents and passions to benefit students      through on-site, parent-run activities
-    It will invite homeschooling families to join the Open Classroom educational community and participate in its social events through a Home School Alliance
-   It will offer an innovative curricular approach incorporating scheduling flexibility and emphasizing independence, creativity and choice.
