New Charter School Opens in Thousand Oaks

A new Thousand Oaks charter school opened Tuesday, welcoming 215 students in grades K-7.

Bridges Charter School is sharing the Glenwood School campus on Windsor Drive, using several portable and permanent classrooms provided by the Conejo Valley Unified School District.

 

“This is such a special day for all of us,” said Bridges Director Hilda Salas as she welcomed charter board members, teachers and parents Tuesday. “From the very beginning, the children have inspired us to build a different school. It’s been a mission of love.”
