School Tours & Parent Information Nights

Parent Information Meetings* for the 2012-13 School Year:

LAST INFO NIGHT: February 9th

(The 2012/13 Enrollment Application Deadline is March 15th.)

BRIDGES’ Parent Information Meetings will introduce parents to our developmental kindergarten, our focus on hands-on learning, active play and healthy habits, our dedication to global stewardship and sustainability, our attention to practicing conflict resolution and compassionate communication skills through daily Circle, and our commitment to developing students with strong leadership and public speaking skills.

These events are valuable opportunities for prospective parents to learn more about how a Whole Child educational philosophy is implemented at BRIDGES and to have their questions answered. Attendance at a Parent Information Meeting also provides interested parents an opportunity to sign-up for a BRIDGES Classroom/Campus Tour ... a special but limited opportunity to experience our School culture first-hand and see our talented teachers and students in action.

All Parent Information Meetings are open to the public and will be held in Kindergarten Classroom #2 from 7:00 to 8:30pm. Parents of incoming kindergarteners, as well as parents of students currently in grades K- 7 from area public, private and homeschools are invited to attend. Childcare may be reserved by calling (805) 492-3569. Spanish-speaking families are welcome and translation services will be available. Application forms (in English and Spanish) will be provided and may be completed and submitted at the meeting.

BRIDGES was built on the conviction that most children thrive in a Whole Child learning environment. Our charter vision is to create a learning community where children are enabled and empowered to become lifelong learners and compassionate global citizens. Most of our families learn of BRIDGES through word-of-mouth.

So if you know a child who would likely benefit from a BRIDGES education, please help us be certain his or her parents know about our Parent Information Meetings in January and February.

*Attendance at both a Parent Information Meeting and at a Classroom/Campus Tour is a mandatory requirement for admission to BRIDGES.
