Director's Note, May 21st: Tech Trek Scholarships Awarded, Spirit Day Tomorrow, Middle School Band Performance, and more!

Greetings, Bridges Families! We are finding it difficult to believe there are just 13 days of school left! As we race toward the end of the year, many classes still have exciting field trips planned and big projects that are wrapping up. Today the middle school students stood on stage and gave speeches about their "truths" as an end of year class project in ELA, the 5th graders are just returning back to school from their adventures in Dana Point, our 4th graders are gearing up for their field trip to re-enact the California Gold Rush as they read about in "By the Great Horn Spoon", our first graders are off riding the metro to experience the diverse cultures that are at our fingertips in downtown LA, and many of our 8th graders will be heading out tonight on a red-eye to Washington DC. We still have so much excitement packed into these final few weeks of school for ALL of our students! Our attendance today in K-5 is low at 92%. We are hoping to rebound from this tomorrow so that we continue to finish out the year well above 95%! So long as your children are healthy, please be sure to get them to school on time.

Director's Note, May 14: Open House, Spirit Day, Sage Grant, School Goal Setting Draft, and more!

Hello Bridges Charter School, Our book fair is off to a great start! It has so far been packed with students during recesses, and students are getting the opportunity to browse with their classes, too. With every purchase you make, 65% of every dollar spent goes straight back into our library. You can also make purchases for your teachers' classroom library, and you have the opportunity, too, to make purchases for our new teachers joining us next year to help stock their classroom libraries! The book fair will be open during Open House for you to browse too.

Director's Note, May 7: Family Survey, Q&A for Families, Open House, Book Fair, and More!

Greetings Bridges Families! The weeks are quickly cascading toward the end of the year, and we are feeling the energy of summer creeping in. I am so proud of our students for continuing to stay focused on learning, and I have a huge amount of gratitude to our families for turning around our attendance trend these past few weeks. Kudos especially to our Kindergartners and our 5th graders for having over 98% attendance last week! 👏👏👏 Read on for all we have in store for students and families in this last month of school!
