March 16th: Coronavirus Updates

Goodmorning Bridges Families:

We hope that you are staying safe, warm, and healthy. Though we are uncertain how the upcoming weeks will unfold, what we know is that even though we are not learning together, our community of families, teachers, and staff is amazing at coming together during times of difficulty, and we are here to support you and your children.

Learning will look different for our students during this time away from school, but it does not need to stop. We want to encourage you to establish routines with your children that include academic blocks, time for movement and exercise, and time for connecting as a family.

Your child’s teachers are all available to support you in providing high quality educational opportunities for your children when we are not able to be together in the classroom. They are available to communicate with you and offer support during normal school hours. Please continue checking Parentsquare for up to date information from your child’s teacher for ideas for daily schedules, lessons and activities, and other general information.

We understand that resources are scarce, and many learning activities require access to technology. Please take a moment to fill out the survey below to let us know if there are resources we can help you acquire to make learning at home more successful for you and your children. Likewise, if you know of a family who currently does not have access to the internet or a device, please reach out to me directly so that we can work with them to connect them with necessary resources.

While we understand it is difficult to be away from friends, the intention of massive closures is for physical distancing, and we want to reiterate the importance of staying home and away from other families and friends during this time when we are off school.

We appreciate you and all you give to our community! We will continue to be in touch with more resources and communication.

In partnership,

Dr. Kelly and Ms. Cindy
