Director's Note: June 1st

Dear Families:

This will be the last Director's Note of the year! We hope you enjoyed the long weekend; it's exciting to see the world beginning to re-open. The trends in COVID rates make us very optimist about re-opening our school in the fall with few restrictions, and we are planning our calendars and bell schedules with a full re-opening in mind! We know you still have questions about physical distancing, masking, and sharing supplies, and we do not have concrete answers to these questions yet, but as we receive guidance, we will share that information with you over the summer.

We want to thank you for participating in our end-of-year school survey! 81 of our families participated, and the following are the results indicating the percentage of families who agreeing or strongly agreeing to indicators in = key categories: (Yellow = current year 2020-2021; Red = last year 2019-2020; Blue = 2018-2019). We noted several important areas for growth as we are re-opening.

Parents indicated dissatisfaction with the amount of opportunities to volunteer this school year, and parents indicated dissatisfaction with the breadth of our specialist programs beyond core academic subjects. We intend to build these programs back to capacity when we return next school year.

Our final year-end community circle hosted by Dr. Kelly and Ms. Cindy will be this Friday from 12pm-1pm! The circle is for parents, staff, teachers, and students.
