Director's Note, January 29th: 6th Grade for a Day, Middle School Science Fair, Intent to Re-Enroll, and More!

6th Graders for a Day  Middle School PIN
As is tradition, our 5th grade students will be spending some time shadowing our 6th graders and meeting all of our Middle School teachers learning what middle school is like at Bridges Charter. If you are a 5th grade family, you will be receiving more information about this from Ms. Veronica or Ms. Sally.

If you have a child entering 6th grade next year, please also attend our Middle School PIN on Thursday, February 8th at 6:30 pm. You'll have the opportunity to mingle with our teachers, learn more about our middle school, and ask any questions you may have.

Middle School Science Fair -- Volunteer Judges Still Needed!
Our Middle School Science Fair is Friday, February 2nd in our MPR. We are still looking for a few more judges to help us score and provide feedback on the projects! If you are interested and available on February 2nd between the hours of 9am-11am, please get in touch with our science teacher Mr. John sanders@bridgescharter.org

Parent Information Nights
We have three more upcoming PIN's through February. Our next parent information night is tomorrow, Tuesday, January 30th starting at 6:30pm. Parent Information Nights are the first step needed to enter our lottery for enrollment in the upcoming school year. Enrollment Interest Forms are due no later than Friday, March 9th at 4pm. Spread the word, and have your friends sign up here: https://www.bridgescharter.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=992548&type=d&pREC_ID=1308279.

Intent to Re-Enroll
Speaking of re-enrollment, have you filled out your intent to re-enroll form on our website? If not, please do so soon! We need to know how many seats we have available to fill in our school lottery. The form is due to us no later than March 1st! If you are unable to fill out the form on our website, we do have a paper copy available in the office. Stop by to see Theresa, Maria, or Libby.

If you are a current family interested in seeing an upper grade classroom in action, please let us know. We are happy to give you a brief tour and introduce you to the teachers.

The re-enrollment form is available here: https://www.bridgescharter.org/apps/form/form.BRICS.qH2aF3Z.2z7

Upcoming Coffee Chat with Kelly and Cindy
We are hosting our next Coffee Chat for parents on Tuesday, February 6th. This is the perfect place to provide us with feedback and ideas that you have to make Bridges Charter School even better! The coffee chat starts at 8:30am and we will wrap up around 9:30/10am. We hope you can join us!

Makerspace
Did your child come home with new finger-knitting skills? Or talking about new designs for catapults? Or sharing snowflake designs? Then chances are they were engaging in our new Makerspace, the brainchild of our school librarian Ms. Rebekah. We are excited to continue developing creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving through engaging Makerspace activities. BUT, in order for us to do this, we need more parent help! Volunteering at the Makerspace allows us to have more engaging activities which will continue to build in complexity, and is a great way for you to log volunteer hours for our school.

Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, January 31st during these time
First Recess:  Ms. Taylor
Lunch Recess:  Ms. Jessilynn
4th/5th Lunch Recess:  All of 4th grade
Last Recess:  Ms. Kallie
