Director's Note, May 21st: Tech Trek Scholarships Awarded, Spirit Day Tomorrow, Middle School Band Performance, and more!

Tech Trek Scholarships Awarded to Three Bridges Students!
Three of our 7th grade students Morgan Guttman, Elyse Hughes and Indigo Jacobs were selected to receive scholarships to attend a STEM summer program at UCSB sponsored by AAUW. These ladies will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on problem solving and encounters with women role models in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). They were selected by AAUW after a full review of their applications, essays and personal interviews. Bridges Charter School students will represent 3 out of the 11 selected for the scholarships in the Conejo Valley! Congratulations Indigo, Elyse, and Morgan!

Spirit Day TOMORROW! and Social Emotional Assembly -- Setting Goals
Our student council team will be leading an "assembly" door walk on Tuesday, May 22nd related to our monthly social emotional theme, Setting Goals. On this day too, students are invited to dress like a professional in the job they hope to do when they grow up. If students do dress up as their profession, please make sure to leave accessory items like baseball bats, hockey sticks, or other items that could intrude on learning or hurt another student, at home.

Middle School Band Performance, Thurs. May 31st, 6-7pm in MPR
You won't want to miss our Middle School Band Performance on May 31st! Many of our middle school students have been participating in a Contemporary Band taught by Mr. Ralph D'Ignazio. No tickets or RSVP required.
