Final Director's Note of 2017/2018, June 4th: Wrapping up the year, Looking to Next Year, Parent Appreciation, and more!

Yearbook Distribution
The yearbooks are here! I originally announced that they would be distributed on Wednesday, but the teachers have instead decided to distribute them Thursday morning before Culmination and Bridging. Bridges Charter School families bought 217 yearbooks, and because of this, Tree Ring will plant that many trees in Bridges' name!

Parent Appreciation, Wednesday 1-1:30pm
The teachers and staff would like to collectively thank you for all that you have done for our school this year! Park your car on Wednesday at pick-up, and join us from 1-1:30pm for snacks on the front lawn!

Early Release
Remember school is released this week at 1:30 Monday-Thursday, and at 12:30 on our last day of school, Friday! Please make arrangements with Extensions if your children require after school care.

8th Grade Graduation
We will be celebrating this incredibly diverse, talented, and passionate group of 8th graders on Thursday at 9am. If you have an 8th grader who also has siblings here at Bridges, teachers can release siblings for the graduation. Please just stop by your child's class before the ceremony to sign them out with their teacher.

Bridging Ceremony
Our annual Bridging Ceremony is one that you won't want to miss! Celebrations will begin at 12pm and will wrap up around 1:30pm. If you are unable to attend, please note that pickup on Thursday is at 1:30pm! PAC will host a brownie bar for students and fun games following Bridging.

Notes about Next Year
School resumes on Wednesday, August 22nd. Our teachers are preparing classroom placements based upon many factors that include your child's friendships, their social dynamics, their academic strengths and areas for growth, their personalities, parent volunteering, and more. We are keeping this information confidential until August when you will be hearing more from your child's new teacher about a summer meeting. Further, our bell schedules will be shifting slightly to allow for a common release time for grades 1-8. With the exception of kindergarten, all students will be released at 2:40 next year.

Wherever your summer break takes you, we wish you a summer filled with laughter, connection, and fun.

We will see you back here in August!

Dr. Kelly and Ms. Cindy
