TOMORROW, Tuesday, November 27 from 6:30-7:30pm in MPR
Have you been wondering about how to talk with your child in developmentally appropriate ways when tragedy strikes? What do you say to them about mass shootings? How do you navigate their questions about the fires? Or what do you say to children when they see local tragedy on the news? How much do you share?
Children process tragic events differently, and we want to help you gather the tools to talk with your children in ways that support their emotional wellbeing. It is our pleasure to welcome, parenting and trauma expert, Jennifer Mundy to Bridges tomorrow night for an informative discussion about discussing trauma and grief with your children. This discussion is free and open to the public! Please invite anyone who you feel would benefit!

So many of our parents worked hard to organize and coordinate the Harvest Festival that was scheduled for the Friday before Thanksgiving break. Because of the lost instructional days and the busyness of the holiday season upon us, we are cancelling the Harvest Festival, and we will begin working with our PAC representatives to discuss a potential alternative activity for the second semester. We are so sorry to have missed this connecting community event.
Join us this Wednesday, November 28th between 1-close at California Pizza Kitchen for lunch or dinner. If you tell your server that you are with Bridges Charter School, 20% of the sales purchased will be donated to Bridges’ PAC. We hope to see you there!
If you would like your child’s photos retaken, our photographer will be back this Wednesday for picture retakes. Please let us know via this link if you would like your child’s photos retaken: https://www.parentsquare.com/feeds/1178316
Would you like to learn more about the inner workings of Bridges Charter School? Join us at our next Board of Director’s Meeting on Monday, December 3rd at 6:15pm. One topic that will be discussed at our next board meeting will be launching a Hot Lunch Program in our 2019-2020 school year! Public comments are welcome at the beginning of the meeting.
Join us for our next Coffee Chat in room 18 on Tuesday, December 4th! Coffee Chats are a wonderful opportunity for parents to learn more about important areas under development at Bridges and to contribute directly to the future direction of our school! Please join us if you can!
