Have you noticed how much more colorful and fun our Bridges campus is compared to other schools? This is thanks to our Art PMC (Parent Managed Cohort)! Past Art PMCs have painted all of the cheerful classroom doors, created wonderful parts of the Outdoor Classroom, and added bright, beautiful murals at both gate entrances of the school. This summer, the Art PMC put in weeks of work freshening up the school to welcome the students back to campus! Projects included: touching up faded doors and the library awning, painting the entire bathroom building and bathroom doors, helping Ms. Laura paint and seal the little stage near the library, painting doors and trim in the Kinder area, painting a little mini mural (almost done!), and painting hundreds of hearts to help with social distancing.
As well as school beautification, the Art PMC facilitates the Make-a-Gift program during the winter holiday season, helps Ms. Laura with setting up and promoting student art shows, and leads the props and sets production for our school spring musical.
If you'd like to be involved in any of these fun opportunities, contact Cara to be added to the volunteer email list.
